2,000 litres of fermented wash destroyed in Tinsukia

TINSUKIA: An excise raid and operation was conducted on Friday in areas under Digboi PS at Assamese Goan and Borbil. The raid was led by A.H. Barbhuyan, Deputy Superintendent, Excise Circle, Margherita with assistance from Digboi Excise Circle and Digboi Police. Four cases were detected in the operation yielding about 80 kilograms of molasses (Laligur) and 2000 litres of fermented wash that were seized and destroyed in-situ.
