2021 Assembly poll campaign will be largely digital, says MP Horensing Bey

DONKAMUKAM: Lok Sabha MP from No. 3 Diphu ST (H) Autonomous Parliamentary constituency, Horensing Bey on Sunday awarded the polling stations Doloni PS, Lingding PS and Borthol (R) PS under Rongkhang MAC constituency at a function held at Doloni in West Karbi Anglong. He introduced the in-charges of shakti kendras at the same function.

Addressing a small gathering, he thanked the people for electing him as MP. He also said that after 7-8 months the Assembly election would be held. "Election campaigning during the upcoming election in 2021 will be very different, it will be digitalized and the high command has instructed us to get prepared for it," he said.

"Due to the global pandemic, there will be no rally or huge public meeting. Instead, through WhatsApp and Twitter, virtual rally campaigning will be held. From June 30, 50,000 followers will be connected through social media by every public representative," he added.

He also highlighted the developmental activities done by him as an MP and KAAC EM. The fucntion was attended by VDC chairman of Rongkhang MAC constituency, Dinen Bordoloi and others.
