20th convention of All BTC Sutradhar Students' Union held in Chirang district

BONGAIGAON: The 20th convention of the All BTC Sutradhar Students' Union started from Saturday at Bijni in Chirang district.

The two-day long convention held at 600 No. Bhatipara Laogaon LP School started with flag hoisting by Dinesh Sutradhar, president of All BTC Sutradhar Students' Union. Several noted persons, including Pran Sutradhar, general secretary of the organization, Haricharan Sutradhar, and Nripendra Sutradhar were present.

Addressing the gathering, Pran Sutradhar said that the government was not showing any interest to solve the burning problems of the Sutradhar community. "The government should take steps for development of the Sutradhar community and formation of Sutradhar council before election," he said.
