KOKRAJHAR: A total of 21 cadres of the National Liberation Front of Boroland (NLFB) on Monday surrendered themselves with weapons in Kokrajhar district. The 21 members of the outfit included platoon commander B. Jangkrikhang and 2 i/c of Kokrajhar B. Gwswkhang in high rank holders. They came to Singimari LP School in Tipkai under Porbhotjhora sub division of Kokrajhar district. The OC of Gossaigaon along with mediators -Prithviraj Narayan Dev Mech and Thulunga Bssumatary, B. Bokho, vice president and Army Chief M. Batha of the outfit received the NLFB members and brought them to Kokrajhar where a designated camp is set up near Gaurang River at Chandamari. They deposited eight weapons including AK -47, AK -56 and SLRs and 10 grenades.

Later, talking to reporters, the army chief of NLFB M. Batha said so far 120 members of the outfit from Kokrajhar and Chirang districts have come back to mainstream and there is no one left in both districts. He said the rest of total 200 members will come from Udalguri, Sonitpur, Biswanath and other districts in the days to come.

It may be mentioned that on August 8 last 32 members of the outfit came to mainstream with arms and ammunition in Jharbari of Kokrajhar district.
