22nd death anniversary of Seuj Konwar observed in Sivasagar

SIVASAGAR: The 22nd death anniversary of Seuj Konwar Parag Chaliha was observed in the premises of Chau-Lung Syukafa Indoor Stadium here in Sivasagar recently adhering to COVID-19 protocol.

Members of Parag Chaliha Smriti Rakshya Samiti, Sivasagar Natya Samaj, Chau-Lung Syukafa Indoor Stadium Management Committee and Seujia Samaj Sangeet Mahavidyalaya paid rich tribute to the legendary social worker, educationist, sports organizer, artist, dramatist, singer and politician at a simple function which was participated by a host of leading educationists, artists, journalists and others.

Saurav Chaliha, son of Parag Chaliha, delivered the welcome address and Dipali Chaliha, wife of Parag Chaliha, Somesh Deka, Jagat Ch. Gogoi, and others present on the occasion offered floral tributes before Chaliha's bust, which was followed by a chorus on a composition of Seuj Konwar Parag Chaliha - Pohar Bisari Jao.
