23rd Bn SSB hosted mega plantation drive in Udalguri district

TANGLA: The 23rd Bn SSB stationed at Lalpool of Udalguri district hosted a mega plantation drive outside the battalion campus in Lalpool market and neighbouring areas in sync with the mega plantation drive where Union Home and Cooperation Minister planted four crore saplings at GC, CRPF in Greater Noida.

According to reports, the plantation drive was led by Commandant of 23rd SSB S.K Awadhiya who exhorted the gathering to carry out similar exercises in their respective areas so that a green, healthy and pollution-free environment could be created. The unit personnel, villagers, and school students of Lalpool ME school along with its principal Abul Kalam Azad participated in the mega plantation. A total of 300 saplings of various species were planted during the plantation drive .The event was organized to spread awareness among youths, citizens and stakeholders for clean and green environment.
