252 Fresh COVID Positive Cases Detected in Lakhimpur in Last Three days

LAKHIMPUR: Five fatalities due to COVID-19 infection were reported in Lakhimpur in the last three days. One of the deceased persons has been identified as Prahlad Phukan (79), resident Salal Gaon under Panigaon Police Station. He breathed his last at Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH), Dibrugarh on Saturday. Another person has been identified as Kumud Changmai (52), resident of Debera Gaon near Japisajia. He died at 2:40 am on Sunday while on the way to AMCH.

Three more persons of the district succumbed to COVID-19 on Monday. They have been identified as Hemchandra Bhuyan (54), resident of Lothou, Naoboicha, Rouza Begum (78), resident of Ward No. 14 of North Lakhimpur town, and Babul Ali (45) resident of Dhakuakhana town. The former two died in AMCH while the latter breathed his last at Lakhimpur Medical College and Hospital (LMCH).

On the other hand, a total of 252 fresh COVID-19 cases were detected in the district in the last two days. Out of them, 111 cases were detected on Saturday while 47 cases were detected on Sunday and 94 cases were detected on Monday.
