257 COVID-19 patients detected in Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: A total of 257 new COVID-19 cases were detected in Lakhimpur district on Wednesday and on Thursday. Out of them, 227 patients were found positive on Wednesday, which is the highest single day record till date. Of them, 6 cases were found positive as per 'real time Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (rRT-PCR) Test result while the rest 221 cases were detected positive through Rapid Antigen Test (RAT).

On the other hand, a total of 30 positive cases were detected in the district on Thursday. Of them, 8 patients are found positive through rRT-PCR Test while rest 30 people tested positive through RAT. With these patients, the COVID-19 cases has spiked to 1,596 in the district. Of them, 803 patients have been discharged while 812 are active cases. A total of 17 patients were discharged from hospitals on Thursday.
