2nd phase of National Skill Hub Initiative starts in Sibsagar Commerce College

SIVASAGAR: Skill India Development has removed the disconnection between demand and supply of skilled manpower, building the vocational and technical training framework, skill upgradation, building of new skills and innovative thinking, not only for existing jobs but also jobs that are to be created. In this context Skill India Initiative has approved and allotted Sibsagar Commerce College, Sivasagar as Skill Hub Institute again and offered some job roles, namely Assistant Beauty Consultant, Junior Software Developer, Food & Beverage Service Trainee under PMKVY-4.0-CSCM, SKILL HUB INITIATIVE.

Sibsagar Commerce College has already successfully completed two job roles, namely Assistant Beauty Consultant and Food & Beverage Service Trainee under PMKVY-3.0-CSCM, SKILL HUB INITIATIVE for which candidates were certified by NSDC and almost maximum number of students have been engaged in various job prospects relevant to their job roles.

The classes for the new session started from April 1, 2023 and Superintendent of Police, Sivasagar, Subhrajyoti Bora had taken part in the inaugural ceremony. He praised the initiative taken by Sibsagar Commerce College. The Superintendent of Police urged the students to avail the opportunity of skill development programmes.

In the same function, the Superintendent of Police also donated a bunch of books for UPSC and other civil services examinations on behalf of the DGP of Assam Police, GP Singh. Dr Saumarjyoti Mahanta, Principal of the college, thanked the DGP Assam Police for taking a very important student-oriented initiative.
