CRPF Jawan Beats 3 Minor boy in Golaghat District, FIR Filed

SARUPATHAR: A B/142 CRPF jawan has allegedly thrashed three minor boys in the border area at Uriamghat in Golaghat district. According to a report, the three minors were beaten for stealing a water pump machine. In this regard, the family members of the minors have lodged an FIR against the jawan.

The FIR was registered (case no.24/2021 under section 325 and 34 IPC) in the Uriamghat Police Station. It is to be mentioned that the victims— Pabitra Gogoi (16), Azizur Ahmed (16), and Jaan Gogoi (16) sustained serious injuries. All are residents of Uriamghat Sonali Nagar. Meanwhile, the villagers are demanding a proper investigation and justice for the three minors.
