3 more die of COVID in Sonitpur district, new cases 342

TEZPUR: Three persons lost their lives due to COVID-19 in Sonitpur district on Thursday. They have been identified as Mahammad Ali (58), resident of Kamarchuburi, Thelamara (died on June 16 in GNRC, North Guwahati), Nima Marak (52), resident of Chariduar and Manuj Baruah (50), resident of Mazgaon, Nikamul, Tezpur who died at TMCH, taking the death toll to 147 in the district during the second wave of the pandemic.

Altogether 9,161 tests were done across the district on Thursday out of which 8,698 were RAT and rest RT-PCR and among the new 342 positive cases found, 336 cases were from RAT and 6 from RT-PCR.
