31 COVID-19 positive patients admitted at FAAMCH, Barpeta

BARPETA: A total of 31 COVID-19 positive patients were admitted at the Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital (FAAMCH), Barpeta on Wednesday.

Among them, 11 were quarantined at Kayakuchi College quarantine centre, six at Sarbhog Model School, five were under home quarantine and others were quarantined at Sarbhog BN College, JNV, Sarbhog, Mandia Anchalik College and lodges.

On the other hand, Ranjit Sutradhar of Barhati (near Barpeta Xatra), who is a cancer patient, tested positive on Tuesday. He was undergoing treatment at the B Borooah Cancer Institute since the past few days. All his family members were placed under home quarantine on Wednesday. The district administration also declared the area as containment zone.
