31-Sidli (ST) LAC draft photo electoral rolls published

KOKRAJHAR: The draft photo electoral rolls for 31- Sidli (ST) Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC) was published on Monday.

In this connection, Wahidul Islam, Sub-Divisional Officer (Sadar) and in-charge Election Officer of Chirang on Monday held a press meet in the conference hall of District Centre, Kajalgaon and briefed the media regarding the publication of draft photo electoral rolls of the same LAC for the year 2022. He informed that the list of supplements to the draft photo electoral rolls with respect to the 31- Sidli (ST) assembly constituency was published with reference to January 1, 2022, and made available for inspection at the district election office, Chirang and at all the designated polling stations of the constituency.

Stating about revision activities to be held in the district, he apprised that people could now register their claims and objections as this process would continue till November 30, 2021. "All these claims and objections will be disposed of by December 20, 2021 and the final photo electoral rolls for 31- Sidli (ST) LAC will be published on January 5, 2022," he added.

He also informed that the voters in the constituency have now reached 2,07,855, showing an increase of 2,817 from the last assembly election, with 1,03,859 males, 1,03,991 female and five transgender voters.
