31st National Road Safety Week begins in Sivasagar

GAURISAGAR: With the rest of the country, the 31st National Road Safety Week, 2020 was observed on Saturday by Sivasagar district Administration, in association with District Police and District Transport Office, with a walkathon rally.

The theme of this year’s programme is ‘Bring Change Through Youth’. Hundreds of people took part in the rally which was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Dr MS Lakshmipriya. She briefed the participants about the current road safety scenario in the country and appealed to all to obey traffic rules and to take measures to spread awareness among the masses, specially the student community. The Road Safety Week programme will end on January 17, 2020 with various awareness activities.
