The 32nd Constitutional Recognition Day of the Nepali language convened by North Jamuguri branch of Assam Nepali Sahitya Sabha in association with the North Jamuguri branch of All Assam Gorkha Students’ Union was observed at Bordikorai High School premises on Sunday with a day-long programme with Dambaru Acharya in the chair.

JAMUGURIHAT: The 32nd Constitutional Recognition Day of the Nepali language convened by North Jamuguri branch of Assam Nepali Sahitya Sabha in association with the North Jamuguri branch of All Assam Gorkha Students’ Union was observed at Bordikorai High School premises on Sunday with a day-long programme with Dambaru Acharya in the chair. The day-long programme began with hoisting of the institutional flags of Assam Nepali Sahitya Sabha and AAGSU by Dambaru Acharya and Hemu Limbu, presidents of the organizing committees, respectively, followed by plantation drive inaugurated by Dipak Newar. Bedanidhi Adhikari and Hemu Limu offered floral tributes in memory of the martyrs of the Language Movement while Sadananda Sarma, former principal of Rangachakuwa HSS offered garlands in front of the portraits of the martyrs. The open session began with a chorus followed by a multilingual poetry circle.
