BISWANATH CHARIALI: The 33rd Annual Session of Suryamukhi Moina Parijat, one of the active branches of All Assam Moina Parijat, was successfully held on April 20th and 21st with a two-day programme at Pub Nabapur, Biswanath Chariali.

The session began with the hoisting of the flag by Jasita Barman in the morning. This was followed by competitions in sports, culture, literature, etc. among the children. Teacher Ajit Das and choreographers Devananda Hazarika and Bhaskarjyoti Saikia were present as judges in the competitions.

The open session held on the second day of the session was presided over by Liza Gautam of Rupjyoti Moina Parijat. Rupjyoti Rabha of Arunajyoti Maina Parijat was the distinguished speaker at the meeting, which began with a chorus presented by the children. Kamal Chandra Bhuyan, Vice President, All Assam Moina Parijat, who attended the meeting as the chief guest, delivered a keynote address to the Moinas.

Hiranya Borthakur, general secretary of Suryamukhi Moina Parijat, read out his editorial report at the meeting and highlighted the tenure of the past. The meeting, moderated by Jatin Sharma, former secretary of Biswanath Chariali Regional Moina Parijat, was attended by eminent guests Anvesha Mahanta, 'Shishu Bandhu' Renu Bora, President of Biswanath District Moina Parijat Surya Bora, teacher Ajit Das, etc. The Moinas of Parijat enthralled the audience with cultural presentations. Jyotishikha Pathak won the title of Best Moina in the A' section, Anupal Bhardwaj in the B' category, and Bhasvati Pathak in the C' category, respectively.
