34 new COVID-19 positive cases detected in Cachar district

SILCHAR: 34 new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from Cachar district on Sunday, taking the total tally to 1,182.

District Media Expert, Suman Choudhury here disclosed that out of 34 persons found COVID-19 positive on Sunday, 15 were under the Rapid Antigen Test. Under Community and Hospital based surveillance, a total of 599 swab samples of SARI and ILI have been taken out of which 551 tests conducted with 34 cases detected positive. 446 persons on being cured have been discharged from hospitals. The number of active cases in the district is presently 721.

512 persons are under facility quarantine centres while 6,448 persons under home quarantine. Of the 29,278 swab samples taken, 27,831 turned out to be negative as per health bulletin released on Sunday. Swab results of 289 persons are awaited.
