37 developmental schemes started in Dhakuakhana of Lakhimpur district

LAKHIMPUR: Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Naba Kumar Doley inaugurated 37 developmental schemes in Dhakuakhana subdivision of Lakhimpur district.

During the last two days, the minister took part in the inaugural functions of the construction of community halls at No. 1 Dimaruguri, Alimur Dangdhara, Naharbari village, Anganwadi centre at Latibarchuk, students’ bicycle stand of Kekuri Model High School, Hazarguri ME School, market shade at Prithial Tiniali, repair of the buildings of Kherkota LP, ME Schools, conference hall of Kherkota Gaon Panchayat office, classroom construction of Niganisuti ME School, reconstruction of the buildings of Kherkota High School, Bochamukh High School, Luitporiya High School and many other schemes to be implemented under his native constituency. All these schemes will be implemented with the investment of funds allotted under 14th Finance Commission.

On the other hand, the minister inaugurated the construction work of the Dhakuakhana town-Tekeliphuta Ghat connecting road via Bakulguri on Monday. The crucial road will be constructed with a fund amounting to Rs. 1,28,36,000 sanctioned under SOPD. Formally inaugurating the implementation of the scheme, the minister declared that the road would be widened by implementing another scheme worth Rs. 24 crore. He stated that road of 359 km had been constructed under Dhakukakhana LAC during the past years under PMGSY.
