38 new COVID-19 positive cases detected in Barpeta district

BARPETA: 38 new COVID-19 positive persons were detected in the entire Barpeta district. Amongst those 9 are army personals of "9 the Jaat Regiment" of Ganakkuchi, Barpeta.

They were on duty at Musalpur in Baska district. OC Bhaskarjyoti Das of Kalgachiya police station and 19 others police personnel were also tested positive. Again 2 persons who are serving in Additional District & Sessions Judges office found COVID-19 positive. One Biki Bharali of Keotkuchi also tested positive. He was suffering from fever after returning from Guwahati one week ago. One Smritilekha Nath of BPHC, Kalgachiya and Abu Sahid Aktar, Barpeta Civil Hospital, Kalgachiya tested positive. Both of them were on quarantine centre duty.
