DHUBRI: Total 381 positive cases, including four detected on Wednesday, have been recorded in Dhubri district so far while 200 persons have been released after recovery. Sources in Dhubri district health department said that a total of 381 positive cases were detected till Wednesday, of which 200 persons were released after recovery and 181 persons are undergoing treatment in different hospitals.
Talking to The Sentinel, Dhubri District Surveillance Officer of Integrated Disease, Dr. Joydip Bhattacharyya said that 1,773 persons had been quarantined in the 30 quarantine camps across Dhubri district.
"Swab samples of 34,605 persons have been collected, of which results of 31,125 came out to be negative while reports of 3,105 persons are yet to come," Dr Bhattacharyya said. Not adhering to the guidelines of social distancing and not wearing masks in public and crowded market places are reasons for the spurt in positive cases in recent days, a medical and health official opined.
