399th Prakash Gurparb of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji at Dhubri Gurudwara

DHUBRI: The 399th Prakash Gurparb (birth anniversary) of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji will be celebrated with a three-day programme under the auspices of Sikh Pratinidhi Board, Eastern Zone (SPBEZ) at Dhubri Gurudwara from April 26 to April 28.

Brisk preparation got underway to celebrate the holiest and sacred occasion as thousands of the Sikh devotees are likely to throng the Gurudwara and the elaborate arrangement has been made to accommodate the devotees who will arrive here, including langar for three days. Ragi Jatha of Sant Baba Gurdip Singhi Ji will perform the rituals during the three-day programme.

Talking to The Sentinel, secretary of SPBEZ, Sardar Kulwant Singh said, “On April 26, the programme will begin with Kirtan-Sri-Asha-Di-Bar from 6 am to 8 am followed by Arambh-Sri-Akhandpath, Kirtan Darbar, and Sandhya Kirtan Darbar. On April 27, the programme will begin with Kirtan-Sri-Asha-Di-Bar from 6 am to 8 am followed by same programmes while on April 28, morning programme will be same followed by Bhog-Sri-Akhandpath Sahib Ji, Arati Ardas, Kirtan Darbar and Ardas.”

During the three-day programme, langar will be served round-the-clock, Singh further said. He appealed to all organizations not to call any bandh or road blockade from April 26 to April 28 for peaceful and hassle-free celebration of Prakash Gurparb.
