3rd death anniversary of journalist Dhaneswar Rabha observed

MANGALDAI:  Tangla Press Club, a premier organization of the media persons based in Tangla in Udalguri, has conferred the Journalist Dhaneswar Rabha Award for Journalism on Ganesh Dutta- a senior media person of Mangaldai on the third death anniversary of Dhaneswar Rabha on September 6. The organizers awarded the felicitation letter alongwith a memento, a ‘Pajar’ of the Rabha tribes and a phulam japi.

At a function organized in association with Kacharitol Village Development Committee and Arun Jyoti Sangha at village Kacharitol near Tangla, the organizers also offered felicitation and conferred the Dhaneswar Rabha Award for Social Works on Executive Member of BTC, Diganta Barua, youth activist Arjun Daimary and senior newspaper hawker Raju Jowaddar of Tangla area.

Earlier, family members of Dhaneswar Rabha, senior journalist Dhiren Mahalia and Diganta Sarma and Rashmi Rekha Rabha of All Rabha Women Council offered floral tribute on the portrait of Dhaneswar Rabha. The felicitation function was presided over by president of Udalguri Zila Sahitya Sabha and media person Gauri Shankar Deka
