3rd NVS National Rope-Skipping Meet-2023 inaugurated in Nalbari

NALBARI: State Public Health Engineering, Skill Employment and Entrepreneurship, Tourism Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah, along with Nalbari District Commissioner-cum-Chairman of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Varnali Deka on Friday attended the opening ceremony of 3rd NVS National Rope-Skipping Meet-2023 at the premises of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Nalbari and declared the formal opening of the aforementioned Meet in the presence of Principal, JNV Nalbari Ajeet Kumar, respected invitees, participants from various region, the JNV Nalbari faculties and staff and other concerned in a colourful event.

Speaking on the event, the minister applauded the emergence of rope-skipping as an important sport now a days which was earlier considered as a recreational activity only. He further highlighted the numerous health benefits of the sport and appreciate the effort of JNV Samiti for this initiative. District Commissioner Nalbari, Smt. Varnali Deka also highlighted the key importance of rope-skipping which has cardio-vascular benefits. Stressing on its utility factor, she urged everyone present over there to give atleast half an hour to this sport in their daily schedule for ensuring a health hazard free life ahead and wishes all participants a great experience during the Meet here in Nalbari.

The Principal, JNV Nalbari, Ajeet Kumar delivered the welcome speech at the event and hosted a warm felicitation for the guests. A souvenir was also formally released by the dignitaries present on the occasion. Around 240 participants from different JNVs of the country representing 8 regions joined the event today to showcased their potential performance in rope skipping.
