4th Seamark School Mathematics Festival concludes

NAGAON: The 4th Seamark School Mathematics Festival came to an end with a day-long programme here on Saturday. Over 71 students of the educational institution took part in different competitions held on occa-sion of the festival. "The aim of the programme was mainly to make mathematics popular among the students. Traditional mathematical concepts, time, measurement, and other important components of mathematics are ba-sically introduced as competitions in the festival," said Mathematics Festival Coordinator Puja Dhar.

She said such initiatives are targeted to make the subject an integral part of day-to-day life. "Mathematics is a part of life, and we attempt to make it closer to our students," she said. In the event, Neelnayana Bora (from kin-dergarten with 99 points), Samiran Bharadwaz and Darsit Borua (jointly from class I with 97 points), Prasujya Bora (class II with 100 points), Zihan Rahman (class III with 82 points), Swasthika Bora, and Ikrana Ahmed (class IV with 100 points) have been declared the class champions, as stated in a press note here.
