531st birth anniversary of Mahapurush Madhavdeva to be observed by Srimanta Sankardeva Sangha, Merapani

MERAPANI: The 531st birth anniversary of Mahapurush Madhavdeva will be observed in the naamghar of Norohori Prathamique Sakha of Srimanta Sankardeva Sangha under the aegis of Dhansiri Zila Sakha and with the full assistance of the local people, said Atul Ch. Boru, the secretary of Dhansiri Zila Sakha.

Ratneswar Bora, the advisor of Dhansiri Zila Sakha, will conduct the tree plantation. After that naam prasanga will be held and the spiritual flag will be hoisted. Both events will be conducted by Rebo Kalita and Nabin Dutta. The Nogen Bora memorial literary competition will be inaugurated by Sidheswar Saikia, the president of the literary branch of Dhansiri Zila Sakha.

The open meeting will be inaugurated by Nabin Dutta, the president of Dhansiri Zila Sakha of Srimanta Sankardeva Sangha. Sidheswar Bora, the Principal of Sarupathar College, will attend as the distinguished guest.
