5th Ayushman Diwas: Nalbari Medical College and Hospital awarded

NALBARI: Nalbari Medical College and Hospital (NMCH) received an award for special expertise in Ayushman Bharat- Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.

The entire nation celebrated five years of successful completion of the Ayushman Bharat- Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana as Ayushman Diwas. The 5th Ayushman Diwas was also celebrated on Saturday at the DC’s conference hall, Nalbari in the presence of Nalbari District Commissioner Varnali Deka. She was joined by ADC Health Asutosh Deka and all concerned from the health fraternity.

Speaking at the event, District Commissioner Varnali Deka said that the affordable and free ‘Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana’ will provide an independent, safe and healthy life to the people. She further mentioned that healthy people will contribute more in realizing the dream of a prosperous Assam. The health services provided under the Ayusman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana have contributed significantly in increasing the public health index and thus taking healthcare to the masses and creating a safe Assam.

As part of the celebration, the exclusive performance of a few persons from the health sector in implementation of the scheme in Nalbari were acknowledged and awarded. Vishal Barman was recognized as a Arogya Yodha whereas Kizil Artek Hussain, Anupjyoti Deka and Mantu Basumatary as Ayushman Jodhas. District Commissioner Varnali Deka congratulated all the recipients and encouraged them to keep up their good work. She sought cooperation from the health fraternity to lead the district to the top in the State in terms of 100% successful implementation of the Ayushman Bharat- Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana in the days to come.
