60-Year-Old Woman Allegedly Murdered In Assam's Silchar

Guwahati: A 60-year-old woman was allegedly murdered in Assam's Silchar district on Monday.

According to reports, the deceased identified as Ayatul Nessa was living in a house with relatives for a long time.

The reports further claimed that she was alone in the house when she was murdered.

Nessa's body which was drenched in blood on the floor of her room was found by her nephew.

After the police got the information of the same, they rushed to the spot and started an investigation. Notably, in connection with the case, the police have detained three people.

The woman's nephew too has been detained for questioning.

As per the police, the motive of the murder is yet to be ascertained, however, the police have claimed that they will soon find the culprits.
