64 fresh COVID-19 cases detected in Sonitpur district

TEZPUR: One more person died due to COVID-19 and 64 fresh COVID-19 cases were detected in Sonitpur district on Monday. Out of the 64 fresh cases, 62 cases were detected from RAT and 2 from RT-PCR. The RAT cases were reported from Dhekiajuli BPHC (5), TMCH (3), Balipara BPHC (9), N Jamuguri BPHC (11), Bihaguri BPHC (7), Rangapara PHC (10), KCH (4), BCH (3) and private hospital (4).

The death toll in the district during the second wave of the pandemic now stands at 223. Altogether 8,068 tests were done across the district on Monday, out of which 7,632 were RAT and rest RT-PCR.
