7-year-old child dies in Bongaigaon after falling from a bamboo bridge

BONGAIGAON: A 7-year-old child died on Wednesday after falling from a bamboo bridge. This incident took place in the Mulbari area under Mererchor PS of Bongaigaon district where a child named Yakub Ali, son of Sukur Ali, a labour by profession, died after falling from a bamboo bridge. The incident occurred at about 11.30 am when the child fell in the Manas River from the bamboo bridge. The villagers searched for the boy and about one hour later his body was recovered. Police sent the body for post-mortem.
