BOKO: The Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, will be inaugurated on January 22. The members of 26th Jongkhuli constituency of the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council (RHAC) in Kamrup district was sent to Ayodhya on Thursday. The members of the Assam Divyanga Versatile Development Association and the 26th Jongkhuli Constituency General Member Arjun Chetri flagged off the container (UP 70 ET 2750) on Thursday evening carrying 7,000 bamboo pieces to Ayodhya. The pieces of bamboos were collected from Lumpi area along the Assam Meghalaya interstate border.
The general member of RHAC Arjun Chetry said that this is a proud moment as they got a chance to send bamboos to the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, about 1200 km away from the evergreen Lampi area of Boko. “The people of India are looking forward to that day as it is a day of pride for the Sanatan Hindus,” Chetry added.
Similarly, Assam Divyanga Versatile Development Association secretary Jil Chowdhury said to the media persons that the specially-abled people of Assam have been able to move towards development. He said the specially-abled people of Assam played an important role in collecting the bamboos. It took around 10 days to collect bamboos from the hilly Lumpi area,” added Jil Chowdhury.
During the flagging off programme many dignitaries from the area Durga Prasad Sharma, Gopal Sharma, Anil Rabha, Robin Boro, Muhit Rabha and loval people of the area took part.
