73 COVID-19 cases detected in Sonitpur District

TEZPUR: Two more person died due to COVID-19 and 73 fresh COVID-19 cases were detected in Sonitpur District today.

Out of the 73 fresh cases, 70 cases were detected

from RAT and 3 from RT-PCR. The death toll in the district during the second wave of the Pandemic now stands at 220. Altogether 7,404 tests were done across the district today, out of which 6,870 were RAT and rest RT-PCR.

Official sources said that COVID positive Gohin Gogoi, 85, resident of Gorubandha, Missamari and Safirani Kar, 65, resident of Dhekiajuli in Sonitpur died at a Tezpur Medical College and Hospital.
