BARPETA: Eight persons from Barpeta district who had attended the Nizamuddin congregation were traced and brought for quarantine at Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital (FAAMCH), Barpeta. Their tests were negative, said Dr Bobyjeet Goswami of FAAMCH.
Earlier, these persons were traced and brought for quarantine at FAAMCH.
Amongst them, three are from Tarabari under Chenga revenue circle, one from Kaljhar, one from Phulbari, one from Swariyatpur Kalgachiya , one from Galiya, Kalgachiya and one from Bhabanipur. A woman from Sarthebari had also gone there but she could not be traced as yet.
On the other hand, another 10 persons who attended the religious congregation have not returned to Barpeta.
Amongst them, one is in Bihar, one in Bongaigaon and remaining are in New Delhi. The district administration has already informed this to Bogaigaon district administration.
Sarma said that till now a total of 1,676 people had been home quarantined. FAAMCH is ready with 239 beds in isolation ward.
In the entire district, all total 632 beds are ready for COVID-19 patients.
