In a shocking incident on Monday 24 January, an 8-year-old boy was sexually abused in Nagarbera of Kamrup district, Assam. Locals spotted when the child cried for help and the accused fled away.

GUWAHATI: A minor boy was allegedly molested in the Nagarbera village area under the Kamrup district of Assam.

It was reported that the incident took place during evening hours on Monday 24 January in the Rongapani location of Nagarbera.

The locals of the area claimed that the minor boy was molested by a man named Ajmal Haque who is married and has three children. The minor boy molested by Haque on Monday was eight years old as per sources.

The accused person is a resident of the same location and he allegedly committed the crime said the local people.

The local people informed that Haque molested the minor boy yesterday when the small boy went out to play during evening hours. Haque allegedly took the boy from there giving him chocolates and entered into his mini truck where he sexually abused the boy.

One of the locals spotted the incident when the child cried for help and attempted to catch Haque immediately but the accused run away from the place leaving the child.

After getting informed about the incident the parents of the minor boy filed an FIR against the accused person in the local police station.

Meanwhile, the police officials have initiated an investigation into the matter to arrest the culprit for sexually abusing a minor boy.

However, Haque is yet to be arrested as he is on the run and hiding from the police.

There are various accusations that accused Ajmal Haque had its involvement in a similar incident that happened earlier in the area.

According to the locals, Haque often lured many small children in the region with the purpose so that can molest them later.

Child molestation has become a serious crime in different states across the country as many minor children are often lured and then sexually assaulted. It is very important to spread child molestation awareness to stop such molestation of young children across India.
