87 people test Covid positive in Lakhimpur in 2 days

LAKHIMPUR: With the prevalence of the third wave of coronavirus contagion, Lakhimpur district has registered a total of 87 COVID-19 cases in last two days.

In the district, a total of 43 COVID-19 cases were detected on Tuesday. These cases were reported from Dhalpur BPHC (2), Bihpuriya BPHC (1), Lakhimpur Medical College and Hospital Respiratory Clinic (27) and Private Nursing Home (4).

On the other hand, a total of 44 people were found positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday as per Rapid Antigen Test (RAT). On this day, these cases were reported from North Lakhimpur Urban Hospital (1), Bihpuriya BPHC (2), Naoboicha BPHC (2), Boginadi BPHC (5), Dhakuakhana BPHC (7) and Lakhimpur Medical College and Hospital Respiratory Clinic (23) and Private Nursing Home (1).

The COVID-19 positive cases included a doctor and an administrator of Lakhimpur Medical College and Hospital along with 19 army personnel. As per report, coronavirus infection was detected in the army personnel who came to the Army Camp, located at Saboti near North Lakhimpur town, afresh.
