DEMOW: A total of 9 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in Demow of Sivasagar district on Friday. According to sources, Anamika Phukan (35), a resident of Sukafa Nagar, BhadraKantaSarma (52), a resident of KonwarDehingiaGaon, Kumar RanjanSarma (17), a resident of KonwarDehingiaGaon, MayuriSarma (29), a resident of KonwarDehingiaGaon, MayukhSarma (5), a resident of KonwarDehingiaGaon, Chandramai Das (40), a resident of Udaipur, Akimuddin Ali (30), a resident of Udaipur, ManikSarma (85), a resident of KonwarDehingiaGaon and DamayantiSarma, a resident of KonwarDehingiaGaon, had gone for Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) in Demow Model Hospital on Friday and they all tested positive. All the positive patients are under home isolation. In Palengi MPHC, three new cases for COVID-19 were detected on Friday. According to sources, SiddhartHira (21), a resident of SaruguaKalitaGaon, GayatriKalita (22), a resident of SaruguaKalitaGaon and Ganesh Hira (45), a resident of SaruguaKalitaGaon had gone for a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) in Palengi MPHC and they tested positive on Friday.

Meanwhile, a total of 97 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in Sivasagar district on Friday. According to sources, there were 545 active cases in the district till Friday. Total 485 patients are under home isolation, 37 in Sivasagar Civil Hospital, 5 in Siu-Ka-Pha Hospital, 2 in Sanjeevani, Dibrugarh, 2 in Brahmaputra Hospital Dibrugarh, 1 in JMCH, Jorhat, 3 in AMCH, Dibrugarh, and 10 in ONGC, Sivasagar. Total 69 patients were discharged on Friday.
