A mishap claims one in Jamugurihat

JAMUGURIHAT: One Padma Thapa, a resident of Jharnapani, Samar Dalani, under Sootea police station, died in a road accident this evening at around 7 p.m. He was 37. According to information, Thapa was heading towards his home from Biswanath Chariali's side. His motorcycle collided with another motorcycle near Khanaguri, Sootea. As he fell from his motorbike on NH-15, a speedy Bollero vehicle running from the opposite direction ran over his body. Severely injured Thapa was brought to Biswanath Sub-divisional Hospital immediately through 108 service, but he was declared dead. The Bollero vehicle escaped from the accident site. His body was sent for a postmortem. He left behind his mother, wife, son, and daughter, along with a host of relatives.
