Dr. Bipul Chandra Deb, a veteran & prolific homeopathic practitioner breathed his last on May 29 at the age of 80. Dr. Deb was born on November 24, 1941. He did his schooling from a tea estate of Hailakandi district and further education from Guwahati. He served at Indian postal service in RMS division. He took voluntary retirement from Govt. of India service.

His father was a medical practitioner in tea garden. Dr Bipul Chandra Deb's contribution towards human health and wellbeing cannot be measured by any means. He has successfully treated cancer, diabetic mellitus, thyroid, TB, thrombosis and many other critical and chronic diseases. He had patients all across the globe. His sudden demise is a great loss to the society in general and especially to public healthcare. He is fondly remembered by his innumerable patients and acquaintances as an erudite scholar in the field of homeopathy. Dr Deb was associated with many social organisations, including Janasankha Samadhan Foundation. It is noteworthy to mention his last conversation in which he rightly mentioned about the growth of population in Assam by a section of people which might cause threat to both health and internal security of the nation. We pray to the Almighty for taking care of this beautiful soul and grant him moksha.
