Dr Barua , popular for his amiable nature and helpful attitude towards the needy people, had great appetite for reading books of various subjects and love for poetry and music also.As a childhood friend, I noticed him drawn to Swami Vivekananda's philosophy and writings since his school days. He was a person of patriotic and nationalistic ideology . His sudden and untimely demise has saddened the people who knew him.
