AABYSF submits memorandum to Bongaigaon DC against illegal activities

Bongaigaon: The All Assam Bengali Youth Students’ Federation (AABYSF) submitted a memorandum to the Bongaigaon Deputy Commissioner on Wednesday against rampant gambling activities, drug abuse and sale and consumption of illegal liquor in the district.

Samrat Bhawal, AABYSF president, said that since the last few days these social evils had increased in the district. “Some miscreants, in the name of observing Puja or cultural programmes, carry out illegal activities. We strongly oppose this and demand immediate steps against such activities, otherwise we will be compelled to launch a massive democratic agitation,” he said.
