DHUBRI: The 26th annual general meeting of All Assam Judicial Employees’ Association (AAJEA) held at Nalbari Natya Mandir on Saturday adopted a resolution regarding non-implementation of the Justice Shetty Commission recommendations. Beside this, resolution on non-inclusion of pay scale with graduate pay scale was also adopted in the commission’s report. Both the resolutions figured in the annual meeting which were unanimously accepted and adopted for speedy implementation of the Shetty Commission’s recommendation.
AAJEA general secretary Ananta Prasad, while talking to The Sentinel, said that in the meeting a resolution was adopted regarding non-implementation of the Justice Shetty Commission recommendation as well as non-inclusion of the pay scale with graduate pay scale. Prasad further informed that on December 7, a bipartite meeting with Land and Revenue Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Assam and the office bearers of the AAJEA was held and a resolution was adopted by the Assam Government on their demands where AAJEA and officials of the Assam Government were the signatories. Now if their legitimate demands were not fulfilled within two months since the day of signing the agreement, then the AAJEA would have no other way out but to initiate agitation programme, Prasad warned.
In the annual general meeting at Nalbari, a large number of judicial employees of Assam participated with a view to strengthen the association and put their legitimate demands strongly before the government if the situation so arises, a source in AAJES said.
