LAKHIMPUR: The Lakhimpur district unit of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday staged protest against sky-rocketing prices of essential commodities and alleged failure on the part of the State Government with regard to mitigating the growing unemployment problem of the State.
In this regard, the dignitaries and activists of the political party protested in front of the Lakhimpur Deputy Commissioner's office and rocked the environment by shouting multiple slogans to demand the control of price hike and the mitigation of the unemployment problem.
While staging the protest, the district dignitaries of the political party slammed the State Government and Supply Department for their alleged lackadaisical attitude to initiate steps to control the price hike. They also became vocal against the State Government regarding its 'failure' to ensure engagement to the large number of unemployed youths of the State.
The party submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister and demanded him to initiate steps to resolve the problems immediately. Otherwise, they issued threat to intensify stir in the upcoming days.
