AASCSU, Golaghat demands arrest of NRL employees with fake SC certificates

GOLAGHAT: The activists of All Assam Scheduled Caste Students’ Union (AASCSU) Golaghat district committee staged sit-in near the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Wednesday demanding arrest of employees who had got jobs in Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) by submitting fake SC caste certificates.

The protesters raised various slogans against the NRL authority and Golaghat district administration and demanded immediate removal of those employees from service.

AASCSU general secretary Paramananda Das said that at a time when the Government of India was taking serious note of employees who had got jobs using fake SC or backward classes certificate, as many as 15 employees got jobs in Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) by producing fake SC certificates, which was unfortunate. Further, the general secretary said that at present 15 employees of NRL had been identified who allegedly used fake SC certificates to secure jobs.

The Golaghat AASCSU demanded immediate arrest and removal of those 15 employees from their jobs. It also warned that until the fraud employees of NRL were arrested, the authority concerned would face massive protest soon.
