AASU, ATTSA, local organizations staged protests against CAB in Demow

DEMOW: The activists of the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU), Demow Regional Committee, All Tea Tribes Students’ Association (ATTSA), Demow Regional Committee along with other local organizations of Demow staged protest in Demow Chariali on Thursday in protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.

The activists protested with placards and shouted slogans against the BJP government. The activists said that if the Central Government tried to impose the CAB on the people of Assam then in the coming days they would intensify the stir.

Meanwhile, the Activists of Brihattar Asomiya Yuba Mancha (BAYM), Demow Town Committee shaved their heads in protest against CAB on Thursday. The activists of Brihattar Asomiya Yuba Mancha (BAYM), Demow Town Committee shouted various slogans against the BJP government and Assam Chief Minister. The BAYM activists strongly opposed CAB and said that if the Bill was not scrapped in the coming days then they would intensify their stir. Around eight leaders of BAYM Demow Town Committee shaved their heads as a mark of protest.
