AASU organizes massive Gana Satyagraha against CAA in Pathsala

Pathsala: The All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) organized a massive Satyagraha against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act on Wednesday in Pathsala.

More than 7000 people gathered at Pathsala Hari Mandir premises and a procession was taken out from Pathsala town to Bajali Subdivisional office, led by Samudra Patgiri Barpeta district secretary of AASU Unit and Damodar Roy, president, Himangshu Sarma, general secretary of Bajali subdivision of AASU unit.

The agitators later submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi through the Bajali SDO (C) and demanded immediate withdrawal of the Act.

In the protest various organizations like AJYCP, AAKJSU, Bajar Committee, Press Guild, Press Club, Bhattadev University, Krishna Handique Junior College, Sikshapith Adarsha Vidyalaya, Asom Unati Sabva Bajali Zilla committee, Rangali Bihu Xanmilani, Bajar Committee, Cemberse of commerce, ME school teachers staff etc. were present.
