Absconding gang of five notorious murderers arrested in Darrang

MANGALDAI: Newly-joined Officer in-charge of Shyampur Police Station in Darrang district, Sub Inspector Dantejit Deuri on Monday successfully arrested an absconding gang of five notorious murderers within a very short period of taking charge.

The arrested absconding accused persons have been identified as Ainal Hoque (47), son of Nur Ali; and his brother Osman Gani (37), Insar Ali (58), son of Badar Ali, and his son Haider Ali (34), all of village No. 2 Magurmari; and Abdul Matleb (40), son of Samsul Hoque of Kalaichar –all under Shyampur Police Station in Darrang district. According to the FIR lodged in the police station, all the accused had brutally killed one Mohammed Ali of Kalaichar in broad daylight, that too in front of his son Rahim Ali, on August 31 and since then all the accused persons were absconding. The arrested accused persons have been booked in connection with Shyampur PS Case No. 87/2020 under section 141/341/323/302/ 34 of Indian Penal Code.
