ABTYP organized mega blood donation camp at Dhubri Terapanth Bhavan

DHUBRI: A mega blood donation camp was organized by the Akhil Bharatiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad (ABTYP) at Dhubri Terapanth Bhavan on Saturday.

Besides Dhubri, two more blood donation camps were also organized at Gauripur Sri Narasingha Bhawan and other at Silpi Samaj Bhawan at Golokganj with support of Dhubri district unit of BJP. This mega blood donation drive (MBDD) was organized through out India on September 17.

In the three camps, 185 unit of blood donated by the volunteers and common people as well. Prior to formal beginning of blood donation, a formal meeting held under the presidentship of Dhubri unit president of ABTYP, Vikash Sethia wherein independent director of Neepco, Bimal Oswal, chairman of Dhubri Municipal Board, Dr Debamoy Sanyal, principal of BN College, Dr Dhruba Chakrabortty and other dignitaries were present.

Sethia said they had set a target of collecting 3 lakh units of blood through their 355 branches of ABTYP and setting up camps in the remotest areas of the country.
