SILCHAR: The Silchar unit of ABVP on Friday expressed its ire, wrath and anger against the inhuman way in which Indian soldiers were assaulted by PLA troops with nail studded rods, resulting in the death of 20 brave souls on the Himalayan border of Ladakh. Kiranjit Deb, secretary, ABVP unit, condemned it as most barbaric and hailed the Indian Army for its retaliated action to cause greater casualty on the enemy despite being in a most disadvantageous position due to sudden attack on them. He said China not only violated Geneva Convention but also the mutually agreed understanding not to attack on each other while positioned along LAC.

But, he said China has its own history of betrayal since 1962 when it broke all the protocols to stab India on the back. India believes in peace and peaceful coexistence. But, our country has learned from the betrayal history of both China and Pakistan. Now, as ABVP secretary said Indian soldiers have to remain alert and vigilant least relying on the overtures of peace. Indian army will no more fall in their game of deception but hit back when attacked.

Assembled at the foot of Khudiram Bose statue at Club Road, ABVP workers raised slogans against China and its leadership. They also exhorted people to take oath not to buy or encourage others to purchase Chinese goods. They will soon launch campaign to boycott any good or article made in China. It is on the strength of the billion dollars goods of its country exported to India that it gets incentives to get stronger militarily and take on the country which is the source of its economic survival.
