Action plan discussed at SAC meeting of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Darrang

MANGALDAI: The annual meeting of the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Darrang for the year 2022-23 held at the Youth Club hall here on Wednesday. The meeting discussed in details necessary guidance and support to carry out the mandated activities of KVK in a more planned and scientific manner and also reviewed the achievement made in the last year and the action plan for the ensuing year.

District Development Commissioner Shubhalaxmi Deka, Assistant Director of Extension Education of AAU, Jorhat, Dr M Neog, Assistant Director of Extension Education CVSc, Khanapara, Dr Atul Borgohain, and others participated in the programme.

In the meeting moderated by Dr Amrita Khaund, Senior Scientist and Head of KVK, Darrang, Dr Abdul Hafiz, Senior Scientist & Head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Darrang presented the Progress Report of the last financial year and the Action Plan for the year ensuing financial year. Progress made in OFTs, FLDs, Capacity development and other extension activities were also shared in the meeting. He also tabled the proposed action plan and KVK deliverables for the forthcoming year.

A detailed plan was prepared through discussions with officials of various line departments and progressive farmers of the district on training, demonstration and other activities to be taken up in the next financial year by KVK, Darrang.
