Activists of Lakhimpur district units demand for exemplary punishment to murderers of minor girl child

LAKHIMPUR: The activists of the Lakhimpur district units of the All India Mahila Sanskritik Sangathan (AIMSS), All India Democratic Youth Organization (AIDYO) and All India Democratic Students' Organization (AIDSO) initiated protest at Sukulibhoria in North Lakhimpur town demanding exemplary punishment to the murderers of the minor girl child at Boko in Kamrup district.

The organizations vehemently condemned the heinous killing of the six-year minor child. Moreover, they expressed their concern over the alarming rise on the crimes against women in the State. In this regard, the organizations demanded the State Government to ensure the security of women in the State and to control the illegal trade of narcotic substances, like liquor, drugs, opium by initiating strict actions. The protesters rent the air by shouting a number of slogans in support of their demands.
