BAKSA: Additional Chief Electoral Officer of Assam, Vinod Seshan visited the strong room of Mushalpur on Thursday. He visited the strong room at Mushalpur Higher Secondary School established by the district administration of Baksa to keep Electoral Voting Machines of three assembly constituencies of the district, namely 58 Tamulpur, 62 Barama and 63 Chapaguri LAC.
He also inspected the security arrangements for the strong room. After the visit, the Additional CEO Seshan expressed his satisfaction regarding the security arrangement. He was accompanied by District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Ranjan Sharma, Election officer Manabendra Bharali and other officials of the district administration. Prior to the visit to the strong room, Seshan chaired a meeting at the office of the Deputy Commissioner Baksa, where he took stock of the counting arrangement for the three constituencies under Baksa district. District Election Officer Ranjan Sharma and Election Officer Manabendra Bharali described all the arrangement procedure to be followed by during the time of counting. Total six halls will be used for the three constituencies and there will be minimum of 14 tables for each constituency.
